Teachers Without Borders (TWB) an international non-profit organisation launched by Dr Fred Mednick in 2000. Their mission is to connect teachers to information and each other to create local change on a global scale.

Teachers Without Borders recognises that teachers represent the largest professional community in the world (over 65 million). TWB members are disbursed across 183 countries, which allow them to be agents of change and key catalysts of global development priorities.

TWB is free to join and gives member the opportunity to connect with colleagues around the globe and access to free mastery courses and workshop resources in a variety of formats including online, local community workshops, books and journals.

Teachers Without Borders has 9 main initiatives:

  • Girls Education

  • Peace Education

  • Education in Emergencies

  • ICT in Education

  • Bullying

  • Bridges to Understanding

  • Child Friendly Spaces

  • Quake Science and Safety

  • TWD Legacy Projects
